Plastic Waste Used To Conserve Water

A village in Maharashtra used plastic waste to conserve water when they observed that their ponds and lakes were not retaining water. The villagers gathered their plastic waste and sewed them together to make huge sheets. They lined the bottom of the ponds with the plastic sheets that helped them keep water from permeating into the ground.
