The GBR TMT Fe-500D comes with enhanced chemical properties that enable it to have superior ductility. The higher elongation values, ductility and strength is achieved by keeping elements like sulphur and phosphorus lower than recommended levels. This increased ductility makes it ideal for use in higher seismic zones.

WHAT IS THE
BuildMAX ADVANTAGE?

The GBR BuildMAX Advantage is the culmination of years of expertise distilled into a single product. The product development focussed on ensuring that we can deliver the Maximum Strength, Maximum Savings and Maximum Quality to the end customer and the building of their dreams.

A customer oriented thought process enabled us to focus on details and bring about innovations such as standardised and sealed packaging. This combined with a state of the art facility and laboratories and a commitment to adhere to the highest standards is what gives GBR TMT the BuildMAX Advantage.

GBR TMT undergoes a PLC controlled on line thermo mechanical treatment which ensures ductility and consistency. This allows us to maintain 0.2% proof stress values higher than 550 N/mm2 (500N/mm2) Elongation values higher than 16 % whilst maintaining tensile strength values higher than 585 N/mm2, making it ideal for usage in (higher) seismic zones.

STANDARDIZED AND SEALED PACKAGING

Each of our lots come packaged with tamper proof strapping for your convenience. The strapping ensures better inventory management and easier cross verification of stock on site.

STANDARDIZED PIECES PER BUNDLE

8mm 10 bars 16mm 3 bars
10mm 7 bars 20mm 2 bars
12mm 5 bars 25mm 1 bar
(Straight material is packaged in 2 M.T. bundles).

ACCURATE CHEMICAL STRUCTURE (Refined Chemical Composition)

The GBR TMT Fe-500 D has enhanced physical, chemical and mechanical properties whilst maintaining low amounts of sulphur and phosphorous. (GBR TMT Fe-500D has a more refined chemical composition which minimizes impurities such as Sulhphur and Phospohorous to less than 0.040% each. This ensures higher ductility to the TMT Bar.

STRICT ADHERENCE TO BIS NORMS

Our state-of-the-art laboratories and a team trained professionals ensure a process of continuous testing to maintain consistency in adherence to the norms specified in IS 1786:2008. Additionally, each dispatch is accompanied by our test certificate and details the lots chemical and physical properties.

PRECISE RIB PATTERN

GBR TMT bars have precise rib patterns that match industry leaders and are in strict adherence to prescribed norms for deformation and surface characteristics in the IS 1786:2008 code. This results in excellent bond with the concrete.
